All Shades of Pink
Helping Families Fight Breast Cancer
Dear Friends:
We work together, have fun together and support each other together. Team All Shades of Pink walked in the 2009 Komen Global Race for the Cure and I thank all who joined me.
More than 50,000 people gathered on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on June 6 to take a stand in the global movement to end breast cancer forever. Each year, up to 75 percent of the Komen Global Race's net income stays in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to fund local screening, treatment and education programs for the medically underserved. The remaining dollars support the Global Promise Fund, a program of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which is dedicated to reaching underserved people in areas where breast cancer mortality rates are the highest.
Team All Shades of Pink raised $795.00 for the cause. A heart-felt thank to all who contributed.
No matter how you got involved, the important thing is that you joined in the global movement to end breast cancer. Thanks for making that impact.
Sincerely,
Denice Whalen-White
