Denice Whalen-White is the President and Founder of All Shades of Pink, Incorporated.  Approximately 17 years ago, Ms. Whalen-White participated in a local area breast cancer walk. After hearing the stories of several survivors and their experience she realized that this was an area of interest every woman needed to be more aware of and involved in.  Over the past 15 years, Denice has held breast cancer awareness gatherings in her home, coordinated several breast cancer awareness tea fundraiser events and has donated proceeds from her Longaberger business to breast cancer organizations working to find a cure.  In May 2007, Denice was recognized as a Daily Point of Light (May 31) by the Points of Light Foundation for her numerous community service efforts.  She was also recognized as one of twenty honorees at the St. Agnes HealthCare Sisters with Heart Award Reception in 2009. 

Ms. Whalen-White speaks at a variety of events to promote involvement in women’s health issues, particularly breast cancer.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County; has over 26 years of experience working in law firms and presently as an application support analyst and trainer for a major Washington, DC law firm; and has as over 7 years experience as a certified lay speaker in the United Methodist Church. Lynn Taylor-Moore is the Vice President of Finance and Controller for All Shades of Pink.  She is also the Controller for the National Organization of Concerned Black Men, Inc. (NOCBM).

Mrs. Moore is a native Washingtonian.  She earned both her B.S. in Finance and M.B.A at Howard University.  While attending Howard University, Lynn was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma Honorary Business Society and a charter member of Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity.   

Prior to joining NOCBM, Ms. Moore worked as the Comptroller of the Historical Society of Washington, D.C., a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to educate the public about the social, political and architectural history of the City of Washington.

While pursuing her Banking career in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ms. Moore served on the advisory board for the Deborah House, a not-for-profit organization, located in Ranking, Pennsylvania which provides temporary housing shelter for teenage mothers with children aged 5 years and younger. Lynn served on several community based boards including the Lamond Community Action Group becoming the youngest and first female president and as charter member of the Lamond Community Development Corporation.

Ms. Moore lives her life with the expectation that to whom much is given, much is required.


Dr. Regina Hampton is board certified in general surgery with a special focus on the treatment of benign and malignant breast disease. She obtained her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and completed her surgical residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC.  She did a two year oncology research fellowship at the Lombardi Cancer Center at Georgetown University that culminated research publications in the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Cancer.

Dr. Hampton has long been in the field of treating cancer patients, especially breast cancer patients.  She received her undergraduate degree from Howard University in Radiation Therapy Technology.  For two years she worked as a therapist giving radiation treatments to a multitude of cancer patients.

 

In her practice, Signature Breast Care, she utilizes the latest surgical techniques with a gentle touch.  It is her goal to educate patients to take a proactive role in getting evaluated for treatable cancers so that they may become cancer survivors.
 
Angela Jacobs has more than 25 years of legal experience, which includes positions as solo practitioner, law firm senior associate, adjunct law faculty and assistant public defender. Her diverse legal history prepared her for facilitating and advocating for the volunteer services needs of the Neighborhood Legal Services Program as Pro Bono Counsel.

Ms. Jacob’s responsibilities are varied and comprise developing and maintaining positive relationships with Washington Metro area pro bono coordinators/pro bono counsel in law firms, government and solo practitioner offices; organizing NLSP community outreach including collaboration at events with other legal service providers; recruiting volunteer attorneys and paralegals; and, implementing in-house and other training for volunteers.

Ms. Jacobs is a graduate of the University of Florida’s College of Law and the College of Journalism and Communications. In addition, Angela is the author of an article published by the American Bar Association in the book Dear Sisters, Dear Daughters: Words of Wisdom from Multicultural Women Attorneys Who’ve Been There and Done That.
